Keeping in mind our ultimate aim of “Taking Technology to the Society”, Technovanza 2019 promises to be bigger than ever!


VEERMATA JIJABAI TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE was established in the year 1887 by the name Victoria Jubilee Technological Institute. Upholding a legacy of over a century of excellence and educational prowess, it has always excelled in nurturing the brightest minds of the society. Excellence is a tradition in the institute and success is this institute's gift to many a modern day personalities. It has motivated students for generations to contribute to the society and make our country proud. It is reputed for excellent training in engineering and technology at diploma, degree and post graduate levels for over 3 thousand students. Over 27 courses are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, postgraduate diploma and post diploma levels. It is one of the oldest and best engineering institutes across India and is a brand in itself.


Technovanza born in 2001 due to the thirst of creativity among our students has grown to become one of the most awaited techno-management event of the country reaching out to students and professionals alike, Technovanza has grown exponentially in the past few years to scale new height. The popularity of this event has increased exponentially reaching not only to the nooks and corners of entire Maharashtra but also to other states like Delhi, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and so on. The student based organization has managed to attract many eminent personalities such as Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, Ratan Tata, Harsha Bhogle, and Suresh Prabhu and continues to grow every successive year.

Admiral Arun Prakash PVSM, AVSM, VrC, VSM a retired Four-Star Admiral who has served as the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy and Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee, he is one of India's most decorated naval officers. During his 40 year career, he commanded a carrier-borne fighter-squadron, a naval air station and four warships; including the aircraft-carrier INS Viraat.

Founder of Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation

Dr. Bharat Vatwani, an Indian Professional Psychiatrist and Founder of Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation which is renowned to help mentally ill people to reunite with their families. He has been awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for the year 2018. The Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation aimed at rescuing mentally-ill persons living on the streets; providing free shelter, food, and psychiatric treatment; and reuniting them with their families.

Boman Irani

Indian film theatre actor and Voice Artist

Mr. Boman Irani is an Indian film and theatre actor, voice artist and photographer. He is widely known for his diverse roles in Bollywood films and theatre. He had his first commercial success with the 2003 comedy Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. He has been honoured with Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role in 2004, Star Screen Award and Filmfare Award in 2010 and Award for Best Actor in 2013.

Prof. Diwakar Vaish

Head of Robotics and Research at A-SET Training and Research Institute

Diwakar Vaish - Indian born robotics researcher and Head of Robotics and Research at A-SET Training and Research Institutes. He is the developer of India's first completely indigenous 3D printed humanoid robot, India's first mind controlled robot, and world's first production brain controlled wheelchair.

Haaziq Kazi

High-School Student

Haaziq Kazi is a high-school student from Pune, known for his project (alias ERVIS) to clean ocean from wastes. ERVIS is the creation of Haaziq which is a large vessel in Ocean with multiple saucers attached to it. ERVIS could help suck wastes out the surface of oceans.

Dr. A. S. Kiran Kumar

Former Chairman, ISRO

Kiran Kumar has received many awards and honors, starting with the Indian Society of Remote Sensing Award in 1994. He was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology.

Shri. Prithviraj Chavan

Former CM of Maharashtra

Shri. Prithviraj Chavan was member of several committees including Provision of Computers to Members of Parliament; Finance and Planning; Science and Technology. He also became All India Congress Committee’s Spokesperson in 2000-01. Prithviraj was Minister of State in PMO from 2004 to 2009 and from May 28, 2009 and onwards.

Hon. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam in his visit to V.J.T.I in 2009, sowed the seeds for this event. One of the most respected social drive across the city, Pratigya aims to inculcate a scientific curiosity in the minds of young students. We have associated with NGO's like Chip Mumbai, Smile Foundation and Tech for India in the previous years. We conduct workshops and practical demonstrations on science topics like light , heat and magnetism. Rubik's cube workshops take place on a monthly basis. Vedic mathematics and glider making workshops are among others.Following are our primary objectices:

Mission Mumbai

Mission Mumbai started about four years ago and within a short span of time rose to prominence. The main objective of the social drive is to tackle worldly problems by providing innovative solutions and/or projects be it Women Empowerment, Deforestation or highlighting the problems of poor working conditions. We have associated with Oasis NGO to conduct E-Waste awareness and collection drives in pour college. We reach out to the senior section of the society through our event Techie@60. Through our event 'Khushiyaan Baaton' we pay our token of appreciation to the hard working traffic policemen Following are the genres we pefer:
